Portion of Sales Benefits Local Food Pantry
Scotts Valley, CA, November 24, 2008 - Westside Beauty Supply, Inc donated $385 to the Valley Churches United Mission for their 27th annual Holiday Project. An email was sent out to customers of Westside Beauty letting them know to shop in the Scotts Valley store on November 15. The donation is a portion of those sales.
"Everyone in San Lorenzo Valley sees the great work Valley Churches United does each year," says co-owner Patrick Bingham. "Because of the hard economic times, donations are down and requests for assistance are up over last year. We always send a donation, but this was a way for us to send more and get our customers involved as well."
Valley Churches United Mission is a non-profit located in Ben Lomond, CA. Projects include financial assistance to people in need, an annual Thanksgiving and Christmas project, and a food pantry that is open all year long.
